My Experience with the Colorbar Blush-Fuchsia:

I was always skeptical about trying blushes as i was worried that they would look odd on my Dusky skin tone. Finally i decided to try one as i was so tempted to see great reviews of blushes by our Blogger friends. I found Colorbar a safe bet as it has some nice shades at an affordable price. But sadly they have hiked their prices now and they have changed the packaging too. These are still available in few e-shopping sites though!

I was confused about which shade to pick as i am not sure about the shades that would look good on Dusky skin tones. After reading a lot of reviews i went ahead and picked the shade Fuchsia. I was so glad after trying the shade out on me as it actually showed up on me :D. The shade is not that bright Fuchsia type as the shade name says but more of a toned down pink with mauve and slight brown undertones and is matte.(I am pathetic at describing colors).I had to go through some tutorials on Blush application as i am totally a novice in that department :D But the best thing about this shade is that even if you go overboard with the color it doesn't give a clowinsh look.

The packaging is very simple and decent. It comes in a Plastic case with a transparent lid. It has two compartments, the top one having the Blush and the bottom one has a small brush, there is also a little mirror attached at the bottom side of the top compartment. The brush is not great but can be used during emergencies. But it sheds a lot!!

The texture of the Blush is soft and it blends well. I haven't noticed any patchy feeling with it. But my only concern is that the powder just comes out of the pan when swirled with a brush. The staying power again is just for 3 Hrs, it could have been better but again i cannot complain for the price tag it comes for.

Swatches:

Pros:
  • I love the shade, it compliments my Dusky Skin tone.
  • Affordable especially for the quantity you get.
  • Decent packaging and comes with a brush.
  •  Texture of the Blush is soft and blends well into the skin.

Cons:
  • Staying power could have been better.
  • The powder has a lot of fall out in the pan.(Even while swirling the brush).

Rating: 4/5

Recommendations: A great budget blush and I totally recommend it!!
