Review: AuraVedic Skin Lightening Mask

I am a huge fan of Home made Ubtans. But i hardly find myself sometime( Call it Laziness :D ) to prepare it and these days i prefer something that is ready made and easy to use. I was so happy when i started to use the AuraVedic Turmeric Face Pack as its not only easy to use but is made of natural Ingredients and actually works on the skin.

What the Product Claims:

The Auravedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask is a facial mask, gentle on the skin and made with all natural ingredients. Natural ingredients  actively penetrates skin and lighten complexion, while also reducing the appearance of age spots, fine lines, blemishes, freckles and pigmentation spots. The result – smooth soft radiant skin thanks to the use of pure extracts of Red Sandal wood, Turmeric and Saffron.

Directions to apply:

Cleanse face using a mild soap and water. Pat dry and apply the lightening mask all over, using generous quantities. Leave it for 15 minutes, until it tries off, and then wash with lukewarm water.

Price: Rs.200/- for 50gms

My Experience with Aura Vedic Skin Lightening Mask:

The packaging is simple and practical. It comes in a white plastic tub and has a white lid to prevent the product from getting accumulated on the lid. I know the tub packaging is un-hygenic but i cannot imagine the product in a squeeze out tube and the consistency is quite thick. Its ideal for all skin types.

The quantity offered for the price is slightly less. The whole tub will last you for about 15-20 usages at the max.I would have preferred some more quantity in the tub :)

The consistency is thick and is difficult to spread on dry skin. So you need to moisten the face by spritzing some rose water or normal water and then apply it evenly on the face. It takes about 7-10 mins to dry and once you wash it off you would notice a slight yellow stain due to the presence of turmeric. The stain can be easily washed off with a facial cleanser but i DO NOT recommend it. Its best to apply this before you hit the bed and slather a good mositurizer after washing it off and you will wake up with a refershed skin.

The pack has very tiny granules that offer mild exfoliation while you wash it off. It definitely acts as a daily mild scrub. It cleanses the skin well and leaves it squeaky clean without drying out the skin.

The fragrance is very strong for me personally. It has a sandalwood and turmeric smell thats bearable enough.

As far as the claims are concerned, i did not notice any major difference in dark spots fading BUT YES it definitely made my skin tone even and bright. Its not a major skin lightening you would observe but the skin feels bright and healthy as it contains a lot of good natural ingredients like Red Sandal, Turmeric, Saffron, Neem, Tulsi etc.. I use it daily replacing my face wash & scrub after i cleanse my skin.

Swatch of the product:

Rating: 4/5

I totally recommend this mask and i am definitely planning to re-purchase.
