Review: Cosmedic LumiDay Brightening Day Lotion

In my earlier post i have mentioned about my skin issues and also reviewed the Alpha-Q Face Wash from Cosmedic. Today i am going to review the Lumi Day Brightening Day lotion.

What the Product Claims:

Daily-use facial moisturizer significantly reduces dullness and discoloration while correcting the appearance of marks. Our proprietary Concentrated Hydroxy Complex delivers a potent mix of 4% Alpha Hydroxy Acids combined with Natural Moisturising Factors for gentle yet effective results. Broad spectrum  SPF 30++ simultaneously prevents further pigmentation from occurring. Free of hydroquinone, steroids, and other irritating demelanizing agents. Hypoallergenic and Non-Comedogenic!

Concentrated Hydroxy Complex with 4% Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Natural Moisturising Factors, SPF 30++.

Directions to apply:

Apply liberally to face and neck after cleansing daily.

Price: Rs.350/- for 60 ml

My Experience with LumiDay Brightening Day Lotion:

The packaging is the same as their Alpha-Q face wash. It comes in a convenient pump type dispenser which is hygenic to use. The product might be slightly expensive but considering that i use it just once during the day and a little amount is required it should last for 2 months.

The lotion is white and thick in consistency and  has a faint medicinal smell that does not linger much post application. I usually take a pump and a half approx for my face and neck.

Actually I have a dry skin that needs extra dose of moisturizer beneath my face make up as i end up getting dry patches around the mouth and chin area especially during the winters. After i apply i find my face little greasy but after a minute or two it sinks into the skin and gives me a healthy glow(read shine too) that my dry skin usually lacks. It has SPF 30 which is super awesome as i dont need a separate Sun screen lotion. The best thing is the moisturization lasts all day long! I tried it  using a foundation over it and it looks dewy and moisturized. However i feel that it would be slightly heavy for me during the summers.

As far as the claims are considered, YES! it did help out in lightening the pigmentation i have around the mouth area. I do have a couple of black spots that faded lightly. It made my un-even skin better. It took about 20-25 Days for the results to show up on me.

Swatch of the Product:

Overall  a great day lotion for dry skin beauties having un-even skin or pigmentation issues. The lotion would be heavy for summers and i don't think it would suit oily skin girls.

Rating: 4/5
