My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss:

I am a huge fan of lip glosses and was super delighted when Maybelline launched the Color Sensational High Shine Glosses.

The packaging is simple and travel friendly. I comes with a transparent tube with a silver cap. I particularly love the applicator, it picks the right amount and applies the product evenly without being streaky.

The Gloss has a nice fruity smell which is not overpowering at all and slowly fades away post application.

The shade Gleaming Grenadine is a super hot red which totally brightens my complexion. It looks equally great on almost all skin tones. For those who are scared to sport bold red lips can try out this Gloss as it is the perfect balanced red.You can try out the sheer finish with one swipe or build up the intensity with an another swipe for a much bold look.

The consistency of this Gloss is really nice, its creamy, non-sticky, light weight and leaves a beautiful shine upon application. Its decently pigmented and usually 1 swipe gives a sheer finish and to cover any lip pigmentation you would require 2-3 swipes.

On the other hand, its not transfer proof (glosses never are!) and the shine slowly fades away after a while. The staying power is only upto 4 Hours max and it does not survive a meal. But I do not mind re applying as the staying power of Lip Glosses are 3-5 Hours usually. But the best thing is it does not dry out the lips or leave them flaky and patchy, it just fades away evenly.

Swatch:

And this is how it looks on me... :) I love how it brightens up my complexion...

Rating: 4/5

Over all I love the creamy, light weight and non sticky texture of these Glosses and surely recommend trying out a couple of your favorite shades from this range as its quite affordable.
